IDENTIFICATION
We can provide a service that confirms the requirement for your project or idea in the marketplace. We can also implement an Ideation process that might uncover additional ideas or features that could build or enhance on your initial concept.
3D PRINTING AND
RAPID PROTOTYPING
The ability to test and observe a prototype part or ‘Prove the Design’ prior to undertaking expensive tooling costs has become a critical part of many projects. Whether it be an impeller for marine application or to check the fit mechanism on a column shroud - the benefits gained from this process are infinite.
2D IDEA
GENERATION
Building a portfolio of design ideas helps to grow a greater understanding of what you might want to achieve and can uncover more than one direction to be explored. Sketch renders and full cohesive design presentations can be used to whittle down the perfect direction for your project to get you confidently to the next stage.
CAD BASED VIABILITY TESTING AND FEA
One of the key benefits of reverse engineering and using parametric modelling is the ability to use the latest CAD based technology to test a design or product in the most extreme conditions prior to ever physically producing anything.
Design optimisation based on FEA data means that your product could avoid warranty claims from potential fatigue or failure, had the analysis not been completed.
3DÂ MODELLING AND
CAD MODELLING
Enabling you to understand the visual appearance of your design long before undertaking the expense of tooling for manufacture is a vitally important step in the process to design resolution. Either in CAD or by Modelling in Clay or hard medium, the object can be viewed in an accurate scale proportionate to the final product. 3D Design Development can happen at this stage to avoid expensive tooling changes at a later date.
DESIGN / PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
The benefits resulting from the previous skills and processes enables us to develop your project confidently based on tried and tested results - Adjustments and alterations can be made prior to a single penny being spent on expensive tooling. A short production run or one prototype can be produced at this stage to finally test your project in real time. Any adjustments or alterations can be made and updated in the data pack ready for Production.
REVERSE ENGINEERING USING CAD
This process is particularly important if you have already produced a prototype or model of your product. Depending on the nature of your project we use a number of different methods to reproduce, analyse and improve the design. We can use 3D scanning to enable us to recreate and surface models in virtual space but also use parametric modelling to recreate, design and engineer the structure that might sit beneath the surface.
DESIGN REALISATION & PRODUCTION TOOLING
Once the above stages are completed to your satisfaction there are two options to proceed.
In the first instance you would receive the completed data and drawings based on the terms of deliverables in the project outcome.
The second option would be for Toniq to help move your project from concept to production using our Tooling Design and Manufacturing service, “Reality Next”.
